- You have 6+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful time in high-growth startups or scale-ups
- You have led engineering teams of 10+ people, ideally managing managers or leads, not just individual contributors
- You are technical enough to be a real sparring partner in architecture and system design conversations, not a distant people manager
- You have built or scaled a technical recruiting engine before and know how to raise the hiring bar
- You are AI-first and use modern AI-assisted engineering workflows yourself
- You are structured and calm under ambiguity, and can design an org from scratch rather than just running an existing one
- Full professional proficiency in German and English
