Responsibilities, requirements, fit, evidence and preparation are organized here. The original posting stays available for final verification.
What you’ll do
- Own daily bank reconciliations across Treasury accounts and payments rails, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit-readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance) and use in house AI tools to optimize workflows and drive project success.
- Act as a key stakeholder in break resolution, partnering with your manager and other teams to close out issues that carry real business risk
- Maintain or develop multiple reporting deliverables with varying frequencies, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Support the team on complex projects within Treasury Cash and Collateral Management, facilitating communication and problem-solving across teams.
- Conduct in-depth analysis using SQL, AI, and other tools to inform critical business decisions related to Treasury operations and strategy
- Use AI tools responsibly, and within Wealthsimple's internal controls, to support your day-to-day work
- Maintain reporting and workflow-optimisation projects that make reconciliation faster, clearer, and more scalable across the team. Take on the more complex, higher-risk breaks and drive them through to resolution
- Financial modeling, coding/automation, ability to contribute to a data model, and experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Superset) is preferred
- Support Treasury reporting projects, helping surface the root causes behind recurring breaks rather than just resolving them one-off
What they’re looking for
Select a requirement to inspect fit, evidence or application context.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or similar role
- Experience with a treasury management system (e.g., Kyriba) or similar
- Hands-on experience with SQL for extracting, analysing, and reporting on financial data. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Superset)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity without a set playbook
- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to explain a reconciliation issue clearly to a technical or non-technical audience alike
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- You dig into what's off rather than waiting to be told — a break doesn't sit unexplained on your desk
- You take ownership end-to-end, and you're comfortable working without a playbook that's already been written for you
- You communicate clearly, whether you're explaining an issue to an engineer or a finance lead
- You do what's right, not what's easiest or fastest to get off your plate
- You're organized enough to juggle multiple reporting deadlines without dropping the ball
- You're comfortable working with AI tools where they genuinely help, and know where the line is
