What you’ll do
- As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Banking domain at lemon.markets, you will design and own reliable, scalable backend services that keep money moving safely and efficiently for our partners and their customers.
- Within this domain, you will build and operate systems across settlements, payments, and ledger accuracy, ensuring execution with partners is correct, cash flows are fast and reliable, and reconciliation reflects reality.
- You will take end-to-end ownership in a cross-functional team, helping ensure operational compliance tasks meet regulatory and contractual SLAs while tracking partner-visible incidents that could affect trust and assets under custody.

But also in the bigger things: celebrating the onboarding of new partners, growing our teams, and owning a strong discussion culture.
- 🏢 Hybrid work setup: You can work from anywhere in Germany within a hybrid model.
- That being said, individual contributor lemoneers work 4 days or more per month on-site in our Berlin office, spending quality time together with the team at events, onsites/offsites or over team dinners.
- At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total.
